Thoughtful care, wherever you are in Texas
While Dr. Gossett prefers to meet families in person, we understand that travel isn’t always easy, especially for follow-up visits. That’s why we offer virtual telehealth appointments using secure Zoom Business video conferencing.
How Telemedicine Works at Orchard Park
- Every patient must be seen in clinic at least once per year.
Your initial consult can happen via telehealth. However, we may request your next visit be in person, if we feel a detailed exam is necessary. - We use Zoom Business for telehealth visits.
Appointments are private, HIPAA-compliant, and easy to access. You’ll receive a secure link after scheduling. - You don’t have to be a Texas resident, but you must be in Texas at the time of your telemedicine appointment.
Prescriptions and Telehealth
- Prescriptions can be sent to out of state pharmacies.
However, there are laws in some states that prohibit certain out-of-state prescriptions. Please reach out to your local pharmacy for specific information. - Prescriptions can never be sent outside of the US.
Common Reasons for Virtual Health Visits
- Initial consults where traveling to the clinic isn’t possible
- Follow-up appointments
- Medication adjustments
- Reviewing test results
- Ongoing care for stable conditions

Frequently Asked Questions
No referral is needed. You’re welcome to contact us directly to schedule care.
No. Orchard Park Child Neurology is a private-pay practice. This allows Dr. Gossett to offer longer appointments, same-week availability, and direct communication without the limitations of insurance-based care. We’re happy to provide documentation if you’d like to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Fees vary based on the type and length of the visit. We’ll review all pricing with you before your first appointment—there are no surprise bills. Many families use HSA/FSA funds or submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
In most cases, we can schedule new patient appointments within 1–2 weeks—and often sooner. We limit the number of families we work with so we can offer faster scheduling and more personalized care.
We’ll send you a checklist after scheduling, but it typically includes any previous medical records, a list of current medications, and completed intake forms. If you have school or therapy reports, those can be helpful too.
